AuDHD is a term that has become increasingly familiar in both clinical and lived-experience conversations, but it remains an area where curiosity, uncertainty and misunderstanding often sit alongside one another.

This webinar, hosted by Dr James Kustow, takes a careful look at the overlap between autism and ADHD, asking what it means when these presentations coexist, how they may interact, and why the combination can create a distinct and sometimes confusing clinical picture.

Rather than assuming the answer, the session approaches the question through a grounded clinical lens, considering what can be observed in practice and where further thought is still needed.

The webinar explores how AuDHD may show up in emotional regulation, sensory experience, communication, executive functioning, identity and coping style, as well as how these features can be missed or misread when viewed through a narrow diagnostic frame. It also considers the value of language itself: whether naming the overlap can help people feel better understood, or whether it risks flattening complexity if used too simplistically.

Throughout, Dr Kustow draws on his extensive clinical experience in Adult ADHD and neurodevelopmental conditions to help participants make sense of the overlap in a way that is both useful and respectful of the lived experience behind the label.
