I found the Essentials of Supervision online course really helpful . . .  I really appreciated the videos, particularly the interaction between the two tutors: Sarah and Elliot, when they were discussing some of the more complicated thorny issues. This added value above what I could have got from reading alone.

I enrolled on the Essentials of Trauma, which is excellent. I know that the course is going to be valuable for me to keep revisiting and digesting gradually. There’s a lot packed in, as with all the courses I’ve enjoyed so far with The Grove.

How Therapy Tools Change Your Life

Therapy isn't just something we offer—it's something we live. Over time, the tools we use in the room begin to shape the way we move through the world: how we listen, how we respond, how we pause before reacting, how we hold space for others—and for ourselves.
In this honest and intimate conversation, Robert Rees, Ben Yalom, and Elliot Davis explore how the practices we teach become the quiet foundations of our own growth. From cultivating stillness to navigating triggers, this session is an invitation to reflect on what happens when therapy tools move from theory into everyday life—and change us along the way.

Hour of the Heart: Tools for Therapeutic Intimacy with Ben Yalom and Robert Rees

This moving and intimate session explored the deep terrain of therapeutic presence, vulnerability, and relational depth. Co-led by Ben Yalom, director and co-author of *Hour of the Heart* (written with his father, Dr. Irvin Yalom), and Robert Rees, psychotherapist and Director of The Grove, the conversation held space for honesty, humour, complexity, and connection. Participants joined from across the globe, representing 39 countries.

Discover Energy Psychotherapy: A New Paradigm for Healing

Ruthie Smith and Robert connect for a 90-minute workshop exploring the transformative field of Energy Psychotherapy. Drawing from ideas in Energy, Soul Connecting and Awakening Consciousness: Psychotherapy in a New Paradigm (Karnak 2024), this talk introduces an innovative approach to psychotherapy that integrates body, mind, and energy alongside traditional talking therapy. As our planet undergoes a shift in consciousness, this paradigm offers empowering, self-applied energy psychology methods that clear trauma and dense frequencies, creating space for healing and transformation. Key topics include: The Consciousness Shift: From ego-driven 3D to heart-based 5D quantum consciousness, using higher consciousness to heal our everyday reality. The BodyMindEnergy System: Working with meridians, chakras, and thoughtfields to bring healing through subtle energy. Vibrational Reality: Understanding emotions through energy and frequency, and how raising our vibration leads to greater well-being. Trauma and Emotional Regulation: Using energy psychology methods to clear trauma and promote inner peace. Honoring Innate Goodness: Approaching therapy with the belief in clients’ fundamental wholeness and healing potential. Depth Psychotherapy: Addressing a range of issues including transpersonal trauma and overcoming therapeutic blockages. The workshop includes experiential exercises such as energy balancing and karate chop tapping, offering practical skills to take away for use with clients. Ruthie runs a 2-day Introduction to Energy Psychotherapy at The Grove, taught alongside Paul Croal and Suzie Wood. Join Ruthie for an enlightening session that brings a new dimension to the therapeutic process.
