I understand how overwhelming it can feel to find the right support when you’re already struggling.
You may be considering counselling because you’re suffering with intrusive thoughts, conflicting demands, or unsettling emotions. Perhaps a recent ADHD diagnosis (or self-diagnosis) leaves you struggling to process your life experiences through this lens and work out what next?.
Many of my clients come to me feeling anxious, overwhelmed, low in mood, or stuck. Often they have experienced a long struggle with low self-worth, even though they may appear outwardly confident and ‘together’ to others.
Therapy offers an opportunity to explore the real you behind the masking and the I’m fine reflex response. Overtime, clients begin to discover and trust in their true self, relate to others more honestly and re-build relationships in which they feel seen and valued. Together we work to develop greater self-awareness and self-compassion and experience how it feels to be comfortable in your own skin.
I am a BACP registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist. Fully insured and DBS checked. I have a special interest in supporting clients who feel lonely or unworthy of others’ time and attention, despite looking OK on the outside. Please feel free to get in touch.
