I am a neurodivergent psychotherapeutic counsellor based in North Yorkshire, holding a Postgraduate Diploma and a Master’s degree in Counselling from York St John University.
Alongside my core training, I have completed further training in bereavement, working with children and young people, and approaches such as Unmasking the Somatic Super-Syndrome, which explores links between ADHD, chronic health, and nervous system regulation. I have also completed a Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism (2023), Solo-Soma training, and EMDR.
Prior to retraining, I worked as a police officer for 25 years, where I gained significant experience supporting individuals affected by trauma. I have also supported clients with disabilities through my work with Disability Plus, a specialist counselling service for adults with disabilities and injuries.
I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
