Integrating Embodied Practice: A Talk with Tamsin Olivier, Robert Rees & Guests

Most therapists today are fluent in the language of trauma. We talk about fight, flight, freeze, and fawn — we understand the nervous system. But how often are we actually helping our clients feel different in their bodies?

In this free event, Robert Rees, Tamsin Olivier and their guest will share a grounded, practitioner-focused conversation about what it really means to work in the body — not just talk about it.

What we’ll explore:

  • Why understanding trauma isn’t enough without embodied integration

  • How to help clients move from insight to somatic experience

  • Common traps in “trauma-informed” practice

  • Simple but powerful ways to invite safety, regulation, and connection

  • The therapist’s body as a tool for co-regulation

This session is for therapists, coaches, and anyone curious about deepening their work with trauma and the body. Expect a practical, thought-provoking conversation grounded in real experience.
