The Grove is really proud of all the fantastic reviews we’ve gathered from professionals who have attended our courses. The voices of our customers are very powerful. We are grateful for all the valuable feedback. You can search and read these genuine comments below.

Each one is from someone who has taken one or more courses with us. Each testimonial is featured with permission from the student. Their motivation is not only to thank us (which is lovely to hear) but also to encourage others toward a similar positive experience.

I realised sleep has been difficult since childhood as an anxious child. I wasn’t soothed; instead, my sisters came to me for soothing. To enjoy the ability to soothe myself with breath and movement. Helped me think about polyvagal theory in many aspects of therapy, not just sleep.

Gillian 2024 sleep recovery

Sleep hygiene isn’t just the last hour before bed but how I do my day. My choices and intentions impact my sleep. This experience has given me confidence to work with the whole person. Pushed me to view sleep restoration with fresh perspectives. I liked the balance of physical, educational, and experiential work.

Dolina 2024 sleep recovery

This sleep recovery course has helped me to be aware of my own sleep needs and that of my clients. The size of the group was great, and the facilitation was excellent. Plenty of opportunities to practice new skills, concepts, and explore vulnerabilities. The course complements my practice philosophy as a trauma-informed practitioner.

Cornetta 2024 sleep recovery

Looking after my body is important. I am exploring how caffeine and sweet things really affect me and making changes. My sleep has changed. I work quite holistically – I love movement.  Being mindful of my energy as an HSP; it’s okay that I am one. I had negative messaging around this when I was young.

Anna 2024 sleep recovery

I struggled to deal with the body stuff, so EFT and energy psychology helped with that. It was on the COSRT website, so I trusted that. While in the NHS I was starved of creativity. This course group was really nice after a shit time when I felt useless.

Afrah 2024 trauma

I did this course because I wanted to learn more about trauma. I was changing to long-term work with traumatised clients, so I knew I needed this kind of thing. I was really sceptical about EFT, but it’s been life-changing for me so now I tap daily.

Helen 2024 trauma

I came on this course to inform my practice both privately and in the NHS. I didn’t take it seriously to begin with, but I’ve been really fulfilled. Now I feel full of new and creative ways of working with trauma. Now I’ve got new avenues to work with. I’ve loved this group, and we’ve made some wonderful connections.

Sarah 2024 trauma

I did this course because I was researching new supervisors and one of them strongly recommended a trauma-specific course. She recommended The Grove, so that’s how I came here. I’ve been fully-qualified for 18 months so I’ve learned so much from everyone here. I’ll enjoy doing the Diploma to consolidate the material and I’m happy with that decision.

Mel 2024 trauma

I came to this course because I felt under-equipped with trauma and now it’s helped with confidence, knowledge of how to work with the body. I’m more confident to work with symptoms like intrusive imagery. I can now have those conversations including social work and private practice. It’s been worth working in the group face-to-face because I don’t think I could have done this learning online.

Jerry 2024 trauma

I found it really nourishing. It’s really helped me to sit with my clients. I felt very contained by the teaching and group discussion. We’ve been invited to discuss and respond all the way along. I started using EFT and I’m using the psychoeducation. I’m glad of doing the Diploma to integrate it.

Shanit 2024 trauma

I came on this course because I was aware of trauma being very present in my clients’ minds as complex presentations. I wanted to improve my skills. I had a good experience on the supervision course, so I thought I’d do the trauma training as well. It was a mature group, but we had fun as well. Something about being in person works for me rather than online.

Jose 2024 trauma

I was intrigued by what this course would cover, and it was mind-expanding. I’m grateful for all the speakers in a solid and well thought-through training.

Success stories are individual stories. Each attendee will bring to the course their lived experience and positionality.

So we are very pleased to see diversity in every cohort, which enriches the learning experience for everyone. Working with difference is intrinsic to the way we run our courses.

We have welcomed learners who let us know about dyslexia or ADHD or hearing loss or that they will attend the course with their guide dog.

We circulate course materials in advance of each teaching date, to enable each participant to familiarise themselves according to their own learning style.

These are some of the practical things we can do to support engagement in their course learning. Yet there is always more work to do in supporting inclusivity – and we are open to hearing from each student about their educational needs.

Our commitment to inclusivity is enshrined in The Grove’s Diversity and Respect Statement.
