The Grove is really proud of all the fantastic reviews we’ve gathered from professionals who have attended our courses. The voices of our customers are very powerful. We are grateful for all the valuable feedback. You can search and read these genuine comments below.

Each one is from someone who has taken one or more courses with us. Each testimonial is featured with permission from the student. Their motivation is not only to thank us (which is lovely to hear) but also to encourage others toward a similar positive experience.

Thank you for this training and time together. It was truly inspirational space. I look forward to the new trainings The Grove is planning.

I would also like to thank you from your initial response linking so quickly with my funding officer for the Diploma from the onset. This is not always the way with other courses and this has been more than ‘a course’. I am still quite emotional (with joy) of the experience over the last few months. It has been an amazing journey.

Just want to say another massive thank you to Sarah and Elliot for the course. I have thoroughly enjoyed each session and left feeling fulfilled. It has just been fantastic and so enjoyable.

Again thank you so much for being an amazing tutor. I will be recommending this course to others. For me as a mum first I found the Zoom such a relief for me as I was able to be there for my children as well as expanding my personal and professional development. Thank you for making it accessible for those of us who would have struggled to travel

Kelly 2021 trauma course

It has been an incredible memorable learning experience for me, and truly I have that box of materials to ponder over and a wealth of information to gather and learn more from over time.

Rachel 2021 trauma course

The course facilitators provided a safe, open space for learning, reflection and discussion and also shared their wisdom and expertise, leading to a training experience which was engaging and thought provoking. I feel this training gives you everything you will need for working in a trauma informed way.

Sarah is gifted in framing and reframing again, concepts, methodology and frameworks until the penny drops. She is dedicated to supporting the students in really understanding the material. Sarah also brings a lot of joy and fun into the classroom, whilst modelling professionalism. Her commitment to high ethical standards in the field of trauma treatment (and therapy as a whole) is transferred to the students through, not only her knowledge, but her constant example.

Thank you for a very informative and well run course, I thoroughly enjoyed it and felt I learned a lot.

Emma 2020 trauma course

I found the neurobiology/neuropsychology aspect of the training the most helpful. Having a way to explain the physiological response to trauma and traumatic stress that made sense – and in a way that was not overly complicated – was important. It has also made a difference in the nature of the conversations I have in therapy and the different trainings I write and deliver.

Roberta 2020 trauma course

I loved how the neuroscience was really entered into at the start, so we can keep this in mind and start to develop a language for it to describe what happens to the brain on trauma with clients. The models (Family Systems, WOT etc) as well as the grounding/phase one tools were excellent and so easily applicable to client work.

Hannah 2020 trauma course

The course was fabulous – both Sarah and Elliot were amazing, and I have learned loads whilst meeting some lovely people.

Rita 2020 trauma course

First of all, big thank you for this course! It was a wonderful combination of fundamental knowledge, practical skills and quality teaching. I not only feel well equipped with a range of therapeutic tools but also confident that is just the start of a very rewarding professional path. Thank you for all your support and friendly engagement throughout!

Success stories are individual stories. Each attendee will bring to the course their lived experience and positionality.

So we are very pleased to see diversity in every cohort, which enriches the learning experience for everyone. Working with difference is intrinsic to the way we run our courses.

We have welcomed learners who let us know about dyslexia or ADHD or hearing loss or that they will attend the course with their guide dog.

We circulate course materials in advance of each teaching date, to enable each participant to familiarise themselves according to their own learning style.

These are some of the practical things we can do to support engagement in their course learning. Yet there is always more work to do in supporting inclusivity – and we are open to hearing from each student about their educational needs.

Our commitment to inclusivity is enshrined in The Grove’s Diversity and Respect Statement.
