Shana Laffy is a qualified Psychosexual and Relationship Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor and experienced educator based in London. She works integratively in her private practice with individuals, couples and relationship clients and is also trained to work with children and young people. Shana specialises in creative arts approaches and attachment-based psychotherapy. Shana’s trauma-informed practice is influenced by neuroscience and grounded in inclusive, GSRD-positive principles.
Shana has extensive clinical and teaching experience and is a Co-Director at The Centre for Psychosexual Health, alongside Cabby Laffy and Polly McAfee. Shana has been a lead tutor on the Certificate in Couple and Relationship Therapy since 2019 and also teaches on the Certificate in Psychosexual Therapy.
Her professional qualifications include an MSc in Contemporary Psychosexual Therapy from The University of Hull, training in the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy with The Couples Institute USA, and Psychoanalytic Couple Psychotherapy with Tavistock Relationships, London. She is a registered member of the College of Sex and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Before clinical work, Shana spent two decades in primary and early education, family support, safeguarding and social care — experience that deeply informs her practical, relational and systemic approach to both therapy and teaching.
