Sarah takes seriously the responsibility of any therapist to engage with holistically including clients who may otherwise be discriminated against in society or where equity of access to therapy might be compromised. This reality brings challenges to the bias or approach for any therapist or supervisor to become more educated in ways to enquire and adapt sensitively to client needs.
Sarah Briggs brings forward decades of experience of working therapeutically with people from diverse backgrounds and identities. Whether disability is visible or invisible, whether the person is neurodivergent, or from a marginalised group in society, or expresses sexuality or relationship differently from heteronormative patterns, Sarah recognises that the whole person is so much more than any specific characteristic.
