Rima Hawkins is a COSRT accredited and UKCP registered Sex & Relationship Psychotherapist and a Clinical Supervisor with a history of working in sexual health and HIV since the nineties and has continues to work in sexual wellbeing of patients and clients in the NHS and privately. Rima has worked in the cross-government policy development for response to sexual violence as the national programme lead for 10 years.

Rima’s primary model of working is Humanistic-Integrative Psychotherapy and runs her private practice in Fulham, London and online.  Rima is a trained Trauma Therapist and EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner. She has a particular interest in Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and is experienced in working with trans-generational and cultural trauma in relationship diversity. Rima is an Expert Witness for English criminal courts for IPV cases.

Rima has recently written a chapter on IPV and the LGBTQ plus community in the Pink Therapy edited book Relationally Queer (Routledge 2023). She has published papers on IPV, facilitated and spoken at various national CPDs and international conferences on sexual health issues, gender based violence & abuse in the last 20 years.

Rima qualified as an Advanced Accredited Gender Sexuality & Relationship Diversity (GSRD) Therapist and is a Clinical Associate and a Mentor for Pink Therapy. She’s a faculty tutor at the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology (CICS) and is a Co-director of the CICS Diploma in Supervision. Rima is a freelance trainer in the UK and India and Level 1 Accredited Facilitator (Association of Facilitators).
