I am a BACP accredited humanistic therapist/supervisor with several years’ experience of dealing with clients who present with many different issues.
I have worked extensively with younger adults and those in the creative industries; alongside working in higher education for many years as a Counsellor.
I offer a flexible, creative and attuned service, dedicated to your needs in therapy.
My experience includes working with people affected by drugs and/or alcohol, bereavement, stress, sexuality and many other issues. I have also been a Mentor working with young people and befriending older people.
I have worked in private practice and in different types of organisations and offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental service where, I hope, my professional and personal experience can help to support you in becoming the person you want to be; using a combination of theory, creativity, intuition – and your input.
It is my belief that, given the right conditions, clients are able to expand and explore their personal knowledge of themselves and their experiences, and be able to help themselves overcome any difficulties that may be troubling them and therefore live in a more calm and considered present.
I do my best not to offer advice or come across as an expert. My belief is that you are in charge of your life and know what is best for yourself. Together, we will get to the core of your needs and work dynamically to help you fulfil your life’s potential.
I have completed four years’ training in person-centred counselling at the Metanoia Institute, and am a fully qualified therapist and BACP accredited practitioner. I am also qualified as a Supervisor of individual therapists and groups.
I am bound by the BACP’s Ethical Framework.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in English and Psychology.
