NCVO is located in central London close to the redeveloped Kings Cross transport hub in central London, with these rail stations and tube stations nearby: Euston, Kings Cross, St Pancras. Other stations within easy reach are Euston Square, Baker Street, Marylebone, Edgware Road, Caledonian Road & Barnsbury. Bus routes to Kings Cross include 17, 30, 73, 91, 205, 259, 390, 476. But please check online for latest information from Transport for London when planning your journey. It’s typically an 8-minute walk from Kings Cross to NCVO.
NCVO’s conference suite provides a bright, modern, central London venue for The Grove’s training events when taught in person (please check the webpage for each course intake to see which are held on Zoom or taught in person).
The NCVO venue is located in a pleasant street by Regent’s Canal, with dedicated training rooms including free wifi for attendees. Catering is included in the fee, including tea & coffee & water with biscuits 3 times across the day, plus a light lunch including sandwiches and savouries with a vegan option, followed by fruit or cake. Vegetarian or vegan options are available.
NCVO enjoys a unique urban setting which overlooks Regent’s Canal, with its moored narrowboats and wild birds. It’s a calming, stress-free environment for CPD learning. This central London location also provides lots of options for eating, drinking, shopping or socialising after the training event concludes. For example, Kings Cross St Pancras has a modern purpose-built shopping concourse with lots of places to eat and drink.

Look out for the brick courtyard on All Saints Street where you enter the NCVO building and reception area.
Check in at reception to obtain the room number for your training day. Be aware that The Grove might be running more than one course on any given day – so make sure you join the correct group!
There is a lift giving step-free access to upper floors. There is also a staircase if you prefer to walk.
Refreshments are served throughout the day including a freshly-prepared lunch from the onsite catering team. There’s also outside space for smoking or getting some fresh air.

There are short presentations during the day, followed by group discussion and lots of opportunity for skills sessions in pairs or trios so you can put the learning into practice straight away. We don’t bore you with PowerPoint! All the materials are provided digitally so you can follow along and keep them on file for reference whenever you need to access them.
