I work as Counselling Psychologist, Coaching Psychologist and coach with a particular interest in adult ADHD+, inattentive ADHD, nervous system regulation, executive functioning and men’s mental health.

To further this, I am embarking on a new venture: unmuddle.me – that seeks to place emphasis on these areas of interest. Anyone can also find me at, drmickdarby.com, or progresspsychology.com.

My therapy/ coaching approach encourages anyone to embrace ‘Mental Fitness’ through self-understanding, self-regulation and self-acceptance with lifestyle and behaviour modification appropriate to the challenges they are facing. I use an integrated approach to help my clients develop Psychological Flexibility (utilising data-led physiological tracking using HRV and CGM on occasion).

This helps with ADHD-related perfectionism, confidence, career management and work performance issues, as well as: Burnout, Work-related stress, Anxiety, Acute Stress Reaction, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Adjustment Disorder, and Behavioural Addictions (such as excessive gambling, porn, internet, phone, substance use).

I adapt my approach as appropriate on a person-by-person basis, to include elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Positive Psychology, Coaching Psychology, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Compassion-based Therapy, and Behavioural Couples Therapy.

Client testimonials, star ratings, and promotional reviews are not permitted, ensuring endorsements remain ethical, considered, and trustworthy.
