The Grove is really proud of all the fantastic reviews we’ve gathered from professionals who have attended our courses. The voices of our customers are very powerful. We are grateful for all the valuable feedback. You can search and read these genuine comments below.
Each one is from someone who has taken one or more courses with us. Each testimonial is featured with permission from the student. Their motivation is not only to thank us (which is lovely to hear) but also to encourage others toward a similar positive experience.
I like the professional and teaching philosophy of the course. I can clearly see that these philosophies are mirrored in the tutors’ personal values and philosophies. I also like the way that the courses are set out with access to comprehensive written materials.

I know that this course has already had a huge impact on my client work. It has given me confidence to really use psychoeducation in a meaningful way with clients, to know my interventions are backed up with neuroscience and are tangible and practical. I dislike “wafty” in therapy and there was no waft in this course!

I have huge confidence in Sarah’s experience and teaching approach and particularly appreciate the gift she has for explaining, what can be, complex psychological theories, bringing them to life and instilling confidence in our existing understanding. She is hugely encouraging whilst holding high standards – which are delivered with clarity and empathy. I deeply value her support as my mentor/assessor.
Student Trauma course
I am already working with clients with a personality disorder and so envisage being able to use the learning with them to process childhood trauma. Secondly, I hope to be able to take on more work with people who have experienced PTSD such as domestic and sexual abuse in adulthood.

First of all, big thank you for this course! It was a wonderful combination of fundamental knowledge, practical skills and quality teaching. I not only feel well equipped with a range of therapeutic tools but also confident that is just the start of a very rewarding professional path. Thank you for all your support and friendly engagement throughout!

Both the course tutors, Sarah and Elliot were very helpful in facilitating an ‘in-depth’ understanding of the course material. Their breadth of knowledge, unique training styles and professional insights were highly impactful and powerful contributors to the course material.

I studied at The Grove last year and had a positive experience. Furthermore, I was not aware that such a course as the Diploma in Traumatology was available elsewhere.

Success stories are individual stories. Each attendee will bring to the course their lived experience and positionality.
So we are very pleased to see diversity in every cohort, which enriches the learning experience for everyone. Working with difference is intrinsic to the way we run our courses.
We have welcomed learners who let us know about dyslexia or ADHD or hearing loss or that they will attend the course with their guide dog.
We circulate course materials in advance of each teaching date, to enable each participant to familiarise themselves according to their own learning style.
These are some of the practical things we can do to support engagement in their course learning. Yet there is always more work to do in supporting inclusivity – and we are open to hearing from each student about their educational needs.
Our commitment to inclusivity is enshrined in The Grove’s Diversity and Respect Statement.
