We know that many therapists prefer attending CPD courses in person. Just like us, they enjoy the tutor input real-time and learning from the wisdom of group discussion and skills practice for embodied learning. We will resume training by attendance in person as soon as it is safe to do so. This is likely to be 2023. We have arranged for all our dates in 2021 and 2022 to take place on Zoom, to ensure continuity and access for everyone who enrols. Course dates and enrolments are planned way in advance. So to give everyone certainty when enrolling, we are guaranteeing that dates in 2021 and 2022 will definitely be on Zoom. We will review our policy for 2023 intakes, later down the line.

In the meantime, professional bodies such as BACP and UKCP are recognising that many CPD courses continue to run as online learning. The Grove's understanding is that CPD certificates for online learning in 2021 and 2022 will be recognised by membership organisations, as part of the ongoing Covid response. Initially in 2020, professional bodies including BACP stated that training institutes should maintain continuity so that students could continue with their qualifications and continue to collect CPD hours. Whilst there is an expectation that training in person will resume in future, it is also acknowledged that many therapists continue to see clients online out of concern for everyone's safety and reduction of infectivity. Therefore it makes sense that CPD would also continue online during this period of time.

We are pledging that all our 2021 dates and 2022 dates will take place online by Zoom. Enrolments take place up to a year in advance, so this policy decision gives certainty when applicants commit to a place on our courses. Our customers are telling us that Zoom is safer to manage infectivity, as well as bringing benefits in terms of cost reduction on travel or accommodation in London, as well as more convenience in managing time at home or from the office. Our sense at the current time is that more enquirers are happy with this than discontented about not being in a training room of 20+ people for 6+ hours per day. This will be reviewed for 2023.
