Anoushka is an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor. She provides a confidential, safe and non-judgmental space and sees the therapeutic relationship as an anchor during times when life feels too overwhelming to go it alone. She believes people are unique beings with their own story and works intuitively and with compassion – everyone has the right to feel understood. Anoushka’s personal approach is formed from Transactional Analysis; the social and behavioural study of human interaction, attachment theory; the first pattern of relating formed via parents and family experiences. And existentialism; the philosophy of how we manage ‘being’, she asks who we are in the world, what we want in our lives and how we make our choices. Anoushka is an active member of professional bodies; BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy). Within her private practice and as a practising counsellor in multiple GP surgeries within the NHS, Anoushka sees clients presenting a range of conditions including;
Depression and Anxiety, trauma and Abuse, childhood neglect and abandonment,
cultural and race issues, family and social relationship difficulties and sensitivity.
