Andrew Allan

I am an experienced therapist specialising in relationship issues, working with individuals and couples. My other specialism is Compulsive Sexual Behaviours (sex addiction). I hold an Advanced Diploma in Couples Counselling and a Diploma in Compulsive Sexual Behaviours.

Areas that I cover include: infidelity; differences in levels of desire; poor communication; future vision and; staleness. I provide support with anxious and avoidant attachment styles; dating and; navigating break ups. I also cover wider relationship issues, working with family, friendship and work disagreements and conflicts too.

I am an integrative therapist and so I tailor my approach to the needs of my clients. I like to work collaboratively and welcome feedback on an ongoing basis. If I am working with a couple, I will ensure that both parties have a voice and feel heard. My first objective is always to try to understand what it feels like to walk in a client’s shoes.

When helping with Compulsive Sexual Behaviours, we will work together to really understand the root cause of the issue rather than simply looking to control the impulses. The goal will be to arrive at a happy, safe and consensual sex life, whatever that may look like for you.
