Community togetherness

It really warmed our hearts last month to welcome some of our previous students to a community event.

Being a therapist can be a lonely profession, especially in private practice.

CPD courses bring an opportunity to learn with other like-minded professionals. We find that many of our learners stay in contact with their study groups for years after the actual course has ended. This is for peer support, sharing knowledge, making referrals, as well as staying in touch as friends.

So it was such a pleasure to see lots of students and tutors getting together at our celebration in February 2023. This photo shows two tutors and a study buddy group enjoying a drink and some nibbles with lots and lots of chat.

What we heard attendees say . . . . .

  • Lovely to meet in person after training on Zoom
  • Opportunity to meet other therapists with similar interests
  • Inspiring to hear how others are working with their clients
  • Great to celebrate the benefits that therapy brings to society
  • Taking mental health seriously

CPD at The Grove is designed to deliver practical knowledge to use in practice immediately.

But the secondary gains are hugely valuable in addition. We loved the chance to be in the same room with so many talented and far-sighted colleagues.

It looks like we’ll be organising other events after such a positive reaction this time around.
